- Create your Dashboard profile. Get started here.
- Once inside your Dashboard profile, click the WordPress/Javascript Widgets tab.
- Click the red “Activate” button under the Premium Ad Network option.
- We’ll review your site! There is a review process that takes place at this stage to confirm that your website meets the criteria to be included in the networks. Considerations include site traffic, how old the site is, and user experience. We’ll follow up once the review is complete and guide you through next steps from there.

FAQ
How do I get approved into the network?
Approval happens through a 2-day review of your website once you click the Premium Ad Network “Activate” button in your dashboard profile. We’ll then review your site to confirm that certain criteria are met that will allow you into the Premium Ad Network.
How do I place the ads in my site?
If your site is running on WordPress, ads are placed into your site using the shortcodes provided in the plugin settings. Non-Wordpress users will access the Premium Ad Network with our Javascript version which uses small code scripts to be placed throughout your site wherever you want the ads to display. You can choose from our various ad sizes and place them throughout your pages, posts and sidebar widgets. Simply copy the shortcode or javascript code from your EmpowerLocal Dashboard profile, paste it into the area you want that ad to show up in, and then save it like you would anything else in your site.
When do ads start to appear on my site?
Once you’ve been approved and you’ve configured your ad units throughout your site, ads will start to show when you click the “Go Live” button on Step 3 in the Premium Ad Network settings. Sometimes ads can take up to an hour to render, so check back if you don’t immediately see them on your site.
When will I be paid?
Revenue is monitored monthly and closed out each month, and then paid on net-60 terms, so 60 days after the end of each month. This is how the networks pay out revenue so we pass it along to our publishers in the same timeframe.
